13. TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH., FEB. 11, 1907. NETTIE CARROLL Tight wire performance. Good act. 9 min. FS. McMAHON & CHAPPELLE Went quite strong in this spot as most of their material was new. 15 min. in one. CAPT. GEO. AUGER & MIDGETS. Company consists of Auger, two women and two midgets presenting a variety of stunts entitled "Jack the Giant Killer." Auger is a very tall, well proportioned man, and the midgets are very small, the contrast in size being so very marked as to almost make an act in itself- a novelty act. While this act does not run altogether smooth it is the kind of an act that will greatly interest the children, and so will create a great deal of talk in the homes. 23 min. FS. CHARLES F. SEMON Semon was a distinct hit here. His act is away from all others and his patter and songs are out of the ordinary. He went away to strong applause. Open in one 5 min. FS 11 min. Close in one 6 min. WILL M. CRESSY & BLANCHE DAYNE Presenting "The Village Lawyer." Mr. Cressy and Miss Dayne are almost too well known to need mention. 22 min. FS. BEN WELCH This well known Hebrew impersonator did not go as strong as on his former appearance. not that he was not as strong in his material and delivery but for the reason that there are so many laughs in the show before he is reached that the audience was "laughed out." 18 in one. THE FINNEY'S Natatorial act in a glass tank. Man and woan perform many natatorial feats, and will, no doubt, create some talk. 12 in 5. KINETOGRAPH "Fan Making in Japan" is an interesting picture. I would like to see the managers try and prevail on the picture company to give the circuit a series of pictures of foreign cities. Our patrons have importuned for them times without number.
