15. NEW YORK CRITICISM-------Feb. 18th, 1907. STEVENSON & NUGENT----Two men. Comedy and straight in singing and dancing act. Their talk is weak, but their dancing is very good and got big applause. The comedy man's dancing is especially good. 12 minutes in one. VALVENO BROS.----Two men in Gymnastic act. Good neat work that got considerable applause. Corking good three show act.10 minutes, full stage. NOBLE SISTERS-----Two young women-fair voices, good looking and well gowned. Good act for the money. 10 minutes in one. EMERSON & BALDWIN----Two men in comic juggling act one black face. Comedy man is an imitation of the Austins, and while it is an entertaining act I would not dare give them a better place on the bill. They really belong in the three-a-day section. 10 minutes, fuljl stage. Two shows. HENNINGS, LEWIS & HENNINGS---Two men and a woman in a musical sketch called "Mixed Drinks." Hardly an edifying affair, but seemed to please. The woman dances well. The men are not so good, and the act went fairly well. 20 minutes, full stage. Close in one. Two shows. MAZUZ & MAZETT---Man and woman in Comedy Acrobatic act. This act want with a scream, and the man has some crazy stuff that went very big. That finish is great. 15 minutes, full stage. Two shows. BERT AND BERTHA GRANT---Very neat colored act. Good singing and dancing and way better than the usual straight colored act. An unusually good three show act. 17 minutes in one. GUYER & CRISPI---In Guyer's well known act, and he is just as good as ever. Miss crispi has a very good voice and sings a couple of songs very well, and is an excellent foil for Guyer. Her Tadpoll song in Character was especially good. The finish was as usual terrific. 25 minutes, full stage. BESSIE WYNN---An unqualified hit. The best woman act I have had. Beautiful voice, and remarkable personality, dances well and is graceful and exquisitely gowned. I think her set would go just as big without the worn out gag of the song writer in the box. I think it is about time we called a halt on this. The act is well worth the money. 16 minutes in one. "Difficult Arrest." Good NOTE-------- Very good holiday show, and I look for a very big week on account of "Polly Pickles" drawing the children, but it is too expensive a show for me. Lindsay Morison.
