42 125th STREET THEATRE CRITICISM E. F. ROGERS March 11th, 1907 -ooOoo- POTTER & HARRIS: Ring act. Was a little afraid of this act on account of the late reports. To y surprise it pleased immensely. Their work is nothing out of the regulation stunts, but each one was recognized and applauded. The result was that it eveloped into a good opening act. 11 min.-full stage. BLACK & JONES: Colored singers and Dancers. The singing part of this act does not amount to anything. One of the men made a tremendous hit on account of his One of the men made a tremendous hit on account of his eccentric dancing. They finished to big applause. 11 min. in one STINSON & MERTON: Received some advance applause. They do a lot of nonsense, but it certainly pleased. The Jury laughed at everything. 17 min.-full stage-closed in one about 5 min COLLINS & HART: Burlesque strong men. Received some little advance applause. All of their various burlesque feats of strength was laughed at and applauded. Finished to big applause. 12 minutes in one about 1 min.-closed full stage. CLARICE VANCE: Received some advance applause. First two songs were a little quiet. Her song "All in-down and out" got them. Finished to fairly good applause. Did not go as strong as on former occasions. 11 min. which created some few giggles; "the giante", which is quite novel and got some few laughs. Next scene in two showing the view of the scene with Harry Filner and Dot Williams singing a song relative to the bathing-suit girls. The suits are inflated creating first murmur and some giggles, and some laughs and finished on a roar. While the act was not a sensation, it pleased. The novelty is worth the money I am paying for it. 25 mi WATSON'S FARMYARD: Well known. Laughing and applause hit of the show. 22 min KINETOGRAPH: "Winter in Switzerland" Interesting "The Haunted Hotel" Very novel. Good comedy.
