Clifton Crawford. On at 4.04, 21 min, in 1. Went very strongly indeed in this very hard spot. He is one of the most popular single entertainers who come to Boston, and I think it would be a capital thing if he also could be put away beneath a blanket for next season. Theres Renz. On at 4.25, 12 min, full stage. The same beautiful equestrienne act as ever. However, I think tht I am just as well satisfied to have it for one week, instead of for the two of the original booking.' Kinetograph. On at 4.37, 23 min. "Daniel Boone, or Pioneer Days in the West", one of the best films that we have had in a long while, as far as holding the interest of an audience goes. Some people may object to it on the ground that it is a little bit on the blood and thunder order, but I do not think that our audience thought of this at all. There was applause in several spots, and a hearty round at the finish. "The Master's Tea Service", a very good comedy film; got a lot of laughs. Waldorf & Mendez. On at 5.00, 10 min; second turn. Stereopticon. On at 5.10, 13 min. Showing some excellent views of London and English Cathedrals. Belle Earl. On at 5.23, 10 min, in 1; 3 shows. Her first vaudeville experience. Rather a pretty girl, who makes an attractive stage presence, and has a very good voice. She was very nervous this afternoon. I think when she gains confidence she will be better than the ordinary run of 3-a-day balladists. King & Stange. On at 5.33, 17 min, full stage; can close in 1, 5 min, if necessary; 3 shows. Valuable for time only. Could not hold better than an opening spot on any two-a-day bill. No cuts. Comment. I consider this an extremely good show, one that should interest an audience from start to finish. The only regret of the week is Edith Helena.
