CLEVELAND SHOW WEEK APRIL 1st, 1907. (F. Brandt) EMERSON & BALDWIN: Eccentric Comedians. Two men; one blackface and one working straight. Very good lively opening act. 9 minutes. C. D. F. ELEANOR DOREL: Vocalist. Singing some Music Publisher's songs that are dreamy and draggy. Very poor selection from a Vaudeville standpoint. Voice is very light. 10 minutes in one. Close very weak. LAWRENCE AND HARRINGTON: Comedy Skit, entitled, "Installments". Man and woman who do singing and talking. This is only a fair act, and if it were not for the bowery dance with which they close their act, it would have very little merit to it. 18 minutes. C. D. F. BLOCKSON AND BURNS: Eccentric Comedians. Act well known on Circuit. Went very well this afternoon. Open in one 2 minutes. Full stage 10 minutes. MUSICAL JOHNSTONS: Experts on the Xylophone. Act too well known on Circuit for comment. Went just as big as ever. Selections very good. 17 minutes in one. Drape. MR. VAUGHAN GLASER AND CO.? Offering "The Goal," a one-act play by Henry Arthur Jones, presented for the first time on any stage. This act to my mind reads much better than it plays. While the story is a very pretty one, it is too talky and has very little action to it, nevertheless, it went quite well this afternoon and managed to get two curtain calls at finish. Would not be a good sketch for Vaudeville in general. Ran 38 minutes this afternoon but will probably be cut down to about 35. for the rest of the week. Interior. DAN QUINLAN AND KELLER MACK: "The Traveling Dentist". They are doing the same act they did when last seen here without any changes. Went very well this afternoon. 22 minutes in one. Special drop. THE SIX GLINCERETTIS: Famous Troupe Of European Acrobats. Six men. This is one of the cleverest acrobatic acts we have had this season. A very good act and should make good on any bill. 8 minutes Palace. KINETOGRAPH: "Teddy Bears". This is an unusual good picture. should prove a great drawing card for the children.
