CLEVELAND SHOW WEEK APRIL 15th, 1907. (F. Brandt) WORK & OWER European Eccentric Acrobats. This is a very new, neat and clean act, the only fault being that it was too short to be of any great value. 6 minutes in two. JOHN DONAHUE & MATTIE NICHOLS: Singing, dancing and acrobatic comedy. This is far from being a good act. They sing and dance only fair and just about got by in this spot. 10 minutes full stage. Close in one three minutes. THE ZINGARI TROUPE: In an Operatic Novelty, entitled "Gypsy Life". This act to my mind is one of the best acts we have had in Cleveland this season. It is not only staged very pretty but has the best aggregation of singers we have had. Their solos, quartettes and duettes were very artistically rendered. Received three curtain calls at close and had to sing an encore. Special set. 15 minutes. Close in one 4 minutes. EDW. F. REYNARD: Ventriloquist. Act well known on Circuit but will say with pleasure, that it has improved 100%. He has added a lot of new stuff and received the biggest amount of applause any ventriloquist ever received in Cleveland at close. 20 minutes. Special set. SOPHIE AKOUNINE: Violiniste. This young lady is one of the Zingari Troupe, with which she makes quite good, but is far from being strong enough to play solos, especially in this spot. Played two numbers very poorly. 8 minutes in one. VAUGHAN GLASER & CO: ONe-act comedy by Mr. H. Beerbohm Tree, entitled, "We Shall Meet Again". Without a doubt this has been the best thing Mr Glaser has done. It is a very pretty little comedy and no doubt will please the audiences a good deal more than his other two sketches. 3 people. 19 minutes. Interior. AVERY & HART: Colored Comedians. Singing, talking and dancing. Act well known on circuit but did not go as strong as I expected them to this afternoon, nevertheless it is a very good act and no doubt will go much better earlier on the bill. 21 minutes in one. HOWARD'S DOG AND PONY CIRCUS: Act too well known on circuit for any comment, but will say that Mr Howard has improved his act quite a bit and has several new stunts. 15 minutes full stage. Special panorama.
