125TH STREET THEATRE CRITICISM E. F. ROGERS April 15th, 1907 GRIFF BROTHERS: Ring Artists. In the regulation stunts of acts of this nature. Their work is clean-cut and very nicely done. While they didn't receive very much applause, I presume the act was appreciated. Alright as an opener. 14 min.-full stage CLEMENSO BROTHERS: Musical Clowns. Quite a novel musical act on the style of Delphino & Delacre. Most all of their material is new. Was greatly appreciated. Comedy is excellent. Alright for about second on the bill. 17 min full stage-closed in one about 5 min MITCHELL & CAIN: Well known. Act remains about the same as before. Did not go as strong as on former occasions, altho pleased. 17 min MAYME GEHRUE & CO: 4 men and a woman. In a romance of Southern California, entitled:-"June" by Edmund Day. A little talky on the opening, but very interesting. Tells a pretty love story. The company is excellent especially the impersonation of the Irish and Spanish characters. Could hold her own as a headline attraction in any house. Hit of the show up to the time. 29 min FRANK FOGARTY: "The Dublin Minstrel." This man opened a little tame, but certainly got the crowd a few moments afterwards. His material is bright and new. Created a big lot of laughs. Compelled to take several bows on his finish. 18 min. in one place and got as many laughs as any other act in the show. 12 min ROSAIRE & DORETO: Acrobatic comedy. Well know. Excellent closing act. Received the usual number of laughs with quite a big lot of applause on the finish. 10 min KINETOGRAPH: "The Yawner" Good comedy "The Last Ride" Good comedy
