125TH STREET THEATRE CRITICISM E. F. ROGERS April 29th, 1907 ZISKA & KING: Comedy Magic. Straight man in this act has a very bad delivery. Hurts the act to a certain extent. However, all their work went fairly good and they secured quite a number of laughs with a fair hand on the finish. Thoroughly alright as an opener. 20 min.-full stage-closed in one about 5 min. CHARLOTTE PARRY & CO: Presenting the protean tabloid drama, entitled:-"The Comstock Mystery." This woman is very clever. Each and all of her characters received applause. She had the audience with her and carried them into her finish. Closed with tremendous applause with two curtain calls. 30 min.-full stage MAY BELFORT: Descriptive Vocaliste. Well know. Opened rather tame, but shortly after proved to be the biggest kind of a hit. Sang four songs and they could have stood for more. 17 min. in one LADELL & CROUCH: Acrobatic comedy. Rapid-fire singing and dancing on the style of Guyer & Crispi. Held their own here in great shape. Ladell's acrobatic dancing made quite a hit. 20 min.-full stage closed in one about 5 min. WM. J. KELLEY & CO: Third week. Presenting a one-act play, entitled:- "Bachelor's Hall". Received tremendous reception on his entrance,-fully as strong as his other weeks. Proved himself fully as big a hit as when he appeared cross-town. 20 min. in one FRED KARNO'S COMPANY: Presenting:-"A Night in an English Music Hall." Well known. Applause and laughing hit of the show. 27 min. KINETOGRAPH: "The Sausage Chase" Good comedy THE GREAT IMHOFF: Will forward criticism later SAXTON & DOOLEY: Will forward criticism later
