UNION SQUARE CRITICISM WEEK OF APRIL 29th, 1907. OVERTURE. "The Lost Chord" Cornet Solo. Big hit. 7 minutes. HODGES AND LAUNCHMERE. Man and woman-Colored. A very good three show act. Their "Ocean Trip" is funny, and both voices are good. Corking good opener. Their finish the "Cat Duet" got a big hand. 16 minutes in one. MULLER CHUNN AND MULLER. Three men in hoop rolling act. Another good act. Graceful and pretty. The men are young and good looking. This act got much more applause than Everhardt did here, and could stand a much better place. A Picturesque act that will go anywhere. 10 minutes, full stage. IRVIN WALTON. Singing, monologue and dancing. One of my Thursday morning trials. He made quite a hit with his different dialects and his dancing is also very good. A valuable act for the money considering the scarcity of acts in one. Double the hit of men like Elmer Tenley etc. 14 minutes in one. ARNOLD AND [ETHOL?] GRAZER. Young man and good looking girl opening with musical act on Mandolin, Banjo followed by some great toe dancing by the man that got a big hand. French horn solo, Cornet and French horn duet, woman playing Piano and French horn together, finishing with Drum Major dance by boy, makes up a very neat entertaining act. 15 minutes, full stage. REDFORD & WINCHESTER. Well known comedy juggling act. The straight man's juggling seven balls made a big hit, and the comedy end is very funny. The finish of the act is a scream and started the fun splendidly. 15 minutes, full stage. TWO VIVIANS. Two men and woman. The woman is a wonder, and the act is in showmanlike shape and made quite a hit, but the report of the revolver is much too loud for the woman. The finish of the woman singing songs and the man shooting accompaniment goes Bordeverry one better. Two recalls. 18 minutes, full stage. KELLY AND KENT. (Or O'BRIEN). A scream from start to finish. Kelly is as good as ever, and the woman is great, as the tough girl certainly had the audience going. 20 minutes, full stage. Close in one. 4 recalls. held the audience. These acts, however are introducing too much of the "missing" gag to fill in time. Closed to big applause. 12 minutes, full stage. KINETOGRAPH. Tobagganing at St. Moritz. Interesting film. Artful Husband. Funny. Japanese Women. Interesting and good pictures. NOTE. Awfully hard show to work, but should do the business. Changed Hodges and Launchmere with the Dainty Four to-night. Lindsay Morison.
