CONTINUED. REX FOX. Englishman on slack wire with dummy on his back that he uses to good effect for Ventriloquial stunts. His individual work on the wire is great, and some of it is unique. His stilt walking and playing the Mandolin at the same time made a big hit. Also his balancing lighted lamp on one foot and playing the Mandolin. A picturesque and novel act that would go anywhere. Biggest applause I have ever heard for an act of this kind. 12 minutes, full stage. GEORGE WILSON. Well known black face Comedian. Went very well. Not much new stuff. 17 minutes in one. THE McNAUGHTONS. These two men certainly are wonders, and it is a long time since I have heard such spontaneous laughter for an act of this kind. Their burlesque knife and boxing glove fights are screams. Three recalls. 15 minutes, 2 and 2 1/2. TRULY SHATTUCK. Advance applause. Usual hit. Big applause after each number. This woman stands alone in her class. One of the most Beautiful gowns I have seen this year. 14 minutes in one. VERNON. Ventriloquist. Very funny act, and he manipulates his half dozen figures very well indeed. Got considerable laughter. Assisted by good looking well dressed woman. 19 minutes, full stage, close in one. ESTELLE WORDETTE & CO. In "A Honeymoon in the Catskills." This is one of the most valuable acts on the circuit. A laugh from start to finish, and the comedian Kusell is awfully funny. The act would go anywhere at any time. A genuine "Find" for the money. 19 minutes, full stage. THE VASSAR GIRLS. Good act. The girl with the Violin made a tremendous hit, also the whistling girl. The dancing does not amount to much, and the electrical effects are very pretty and got big applause. 22 minutes, full stage. KINETOGRAPH. Lost in the Alps. Interesting. The unskilful skater. Very funny picture. NOTE. Corking good "Variety" show. Every number went well, and the audience seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. The Vassar act is a great relief for a closing act after all the acrobats we have had. Lindsay Morison. MUSICAL AVOLOS. Two women and two men in the well known Xylophone act. The usual big hit. Great work, and a really valuable act. Terrific applause. 10 minutes in one. EMMA FRANCIS AND HER ARABS. Big advance applause. This sprightly little woman made her usual big hit. She is blessed with having a good voice as well as being a corking good dancer. Her two arabs of course are simply great, and the act deserves every bit of the big applause it received. 10 minutes, full stage, close in one.
