CLEVELAND SHOW WEEK MAY 13TH, 1907. (H. A. Daniels) HENRY POTTER & MAY HARRIS: Wonderful Gymnastic Exhibition. Man and woman in a gymnastic exhibition on the swinging [???] good act, in fact too good to use as an opener. Full stage 8 minutes. SCOTT & WHALEY: Singing and dancing comedians. Colored team. The act is all right for the three show section in a continuous house, but hardly good enough to go on at 2:30, in a two show house. Their talking and songs was very ordinary, and their jokes impossible. The eccentric dancing carried the act. Drop in one. 17 minutes. JAMES HARRIGAN: The Tramp Juggler. He sings some parodies and tells some jokes, all of which were bordering on the suggestive. This is no surprise, as he generally follows as close to the dead line as he dare. During his juggling he continually roasted the audience, because it was stingy with applause. Drop in two Close in one. 19 minutes. THE STUNNING GRENADIERS: This act had been fully described before. There are eight girls and two men in the production. The costumes and scenery are gorgeous. The act compares favorable with any similar act we have ever played. Full stage. 20 minutes. CARLIN & OTTO: German comedians. They had a very hard spot, following the Grenadiers. Their parodies were bad. Comedy was only fair, and most of their stuff was old. They did not loom up very well to-day. Drop in one. 15 minutes. MR & MRS JIMMIE BARRY: Their old sketch, entitled, "The Village Cutup", in which they introduced a few new specialties. Received a great deal of applause at close. Full stage. 16 minutes. THAT QUARTETTE: Act is too well known for comment. These men thought they were on a roof garden, and yelled so loud that they could be heard four blocks. No use in trying to argue with them about it, for they know it all. Drop in one. 14 minutes. ELLIS-NOLAN TRIO: 2 men and a woman. The acrobatic work is good; comedy fair. The act seemed to be able to hold down this spot. Full stage 14 minutes.
