125TH STREET THEATRE CRITICISM E.F. ROGERS May 13th, 1907 SCOTT & WILSON: Acrobatic Comedy. Act remains the same as before. Bad act for an opener. Secured some few laughs with very little applause. Just about got by. 9 min. in one CARL & MARY OHM: Trained ponies, dogs, monkeys, bears, etc. Quite interesting with an element of novelty to it. Some of the animals work badly. Entirely too much money for an act of this character. Alright for an opener. 14 min.-full stage McMAHON & CHAPPELLE: They have a big lot of new material. Certainly got the laughs. Applause hit of the show up to this time. 15 min. WM. J. KELLEY & COMPANY: Fifth week. Presenting the condensed version of the "Lady of Lyons", entitled: "Claude Melnotte." Company includes six men and three women. Mr. Kelley was accorded the usual big applause on his entrance. The various members of the company received individual applause for their work. The story is well known and held the attention of the audience throughout. I really think it is the best thing Mr. Kelley has presented. Received tremendous applause on his finish. 40 min.-four scenes MR. & MRS. EDW H. KEMP Presenting "Kemp's Tales of the wild." Mrs. Kemp is the lecturer and has a fairly good delivery. They use the Stereopticon with a few motion pictures to show the Indian dance. "Runaway Motor Car" Very good comedy
