Norton & Nicholson. On at 8.50, 22 min, full stage. A clever little sketch, bright and lively, with an abundance of witty lines and amusing bits of business. By far the best thing these people have ever done. A succession of laughs from the start, with three curtains at the close. "The" Quartette. On at 9.12, 16 min, in 1. A very, very fine act of its kind. Good voices and good selections. They will always be welcome here. Metzetti Troupe. On at 9.28, 9 min, full stage. An acrobatic sensation. I consider Florence Metzetti one of the most wonderful acrobats I have ever seen. The eleven members of the troupe make an imposing array. Avery & Hart. On at 9.37, 23 min, in 1. The same old hit. Held this spot in great shape, as they always do. Barnold's Dog & Monkey Pantomime. On at 10 o'clock, 10 min, full stage. In many respects the greatest animal act I have ever looked at. I certainly have never seen an act of the kind make such a hit with an audience. Those present this afternoon and evening simply shrieked at the finish. It will be a pity if this act is allowed to escape us for next season. He is in demand, knows his value and says he will not close a contract until he has been on the Roof several weeks. Kinetograph. On at 10.10, 20 min. "The Boar Hunt", as extremely good film, one of the best we have had this season. "An Unskilful Skater", a very good comic. Cuts:- Le Roy & Woodford. "Raising prices" joke. Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Barry. "Woodshed" squib. Comment. A corking good show. There is not an act in the 2-a-day section that cannot be scored as a hit, while the 3-a-day people are very much above the ordinary. This show gives better satisfaction than most of the bills with big headliners. The same can also be said of last week's show.
