JUNE 3d. PHILADELPHIA SHOW. C. E. BARNS. MORTON & DIAMOND. "My Brother's Reception." 15 minutes in 3. On at 6.45. A rather amusing sketch of the rougher comedy order, trading on a case of mistaken identity and the usual simulations of insanity, to get a laugh. Just about passes with a critical audience like ours. CLARK & BRADLEY. "The Teddy Bear Girls." 10 minutes in 1. On at 7.00 A very acceptable act for an early spot like this. Received fair applause COGAN & BANCROFT. "The Roller skating Comedians." 12 minutes, F. S. On at 7.10. This makes a very good opener. The comedy is good and the roller-skating is very expert. They carry their own drops, which adds a little to the interest of the act. One works straight and the other tramp comedy. Good applause throughout and a strong finish for an opener BRADY & MAHONEY."The Hebrew Fireman and the Foreman." 13 minutes in 1. On at 7.22. A very lively talking act--one man taking the part of a Hebrew fireman, the other his foreman. Talk is very bright and new, and the songs are good parody hits. Altogether a very satisfactory act for an early spot. MR. & MRS. JIMMY BARRY. "The Village Cut-up." On at 7.42 8 minutes, F. S. This act is practically the same as produced before. One or two additions that were quite acceptable. These people understand their business thoroughly and make good with any audience. The close in 1, more or less pantomimic, was very acceptable and laughable. This is a very amusing sketch and very well received. THE ZINGARI OPERA TROUPE. "Gypsy Life." 15 minutes, F. S. On at 6.00 --Close in 1. This is a very excellent musical act. There are 7 people altogether, in very picturesque and romantic costumes. Their Choral work in the Operatic selections is pretty nearly faultless. The Soprano and the Tenor are particularly brilliant, and the finish in 1 got a good encore. Altogether a satisfactory musical act from every standpoint. SEARL & VIOLET ALLEN COMPANY. "The Traveling Man." 17 minutes in 1-1/2 On at 8.15. A parlor-car act. there are 5 people in this act. Very lively and full of bright lines, with funny burlesque situations on the parlor-car. Good laughter throughout. A strong finish. Handicapped at the outset with a Station-scene drop that is too narrow for a stage like ours and was uncontrollable. HENRY E. DIXEY & COMPANY. "David Garrick." 21 minutes, F. S. On at 8.32 at Mr. Dixey's request. Big advance applause. This well known sketch made the same hit as previously when it appeared here in January, '05. Anything that Dixey would undertake would be artistic and interesting, and this act is certainly so from start to close. He is well supported by Miss Nordstrom, a very beautiful woman and charming actre[ss] JACK NORWORTH. "The College Boy." 20 minutes in 1. On at 9.55. Well known on the circuit. The same hit as previously. A bright line of talk, and some new songs of his own. Plenty of laughter and strong applause. Introduces some local hits in his songs that get hearty reception and closed very strong. Held down a hard place splendidly. Is improving every engagement. #3. "An Unskillful Skater." This is a good comedy film. GENERAL REMARKS: This is a great show and both the Press and the patrons announce it a "Big Winner."
