CRITICISM KEITH & PROCTOR'S 125TH STREET THEATRE E. F. ROGERS JULY 1st, 1907 LE CLAIR & BOWEN Burlesque strong men. Dead steal from Collins & Hart and some of the business from Tom Hearn. The comedy is only fair. The burlesque work secured some few laughs. 17 minutes full stage. RUBE WELCH? KITTIE FRANCIS & CO. In the one-act comedy "The Flip Mr. Flop". 1/m 4/w. This is certainly rough but they managed to get the laughs. The singing went exceptionally strong. Compelled to encore. 25 minutes full stage. NORA KELLY "The Girl from Dublin". Well known. Pleasing personality and nicely costumed. Selections are good. Her voice is rather quiet and musical but no volume. Just about got by. 10 minutes in one. AGNES SCOTT ASSISTED BY HARRY ENGLISH In the one-act playlet "The Red, Red rose". Rather a pathetic little play with a little comedy and pathos intermingled. Miss Scott received a big ovation when she appeared. The act itself is excellent for this house on account of her connection with the stock company but I doubt if it would be suitable elsewhere. Big applause on the finish with three curtain calls. 16 minutes full stage. YOUNG AMERICAN QUINTETTE, 4/m 1/w. Singers and dancers. Greatly improved. Held their own here in great shape and secured quite a number of laughs with good applause after each vocal number. Dancing carried them off very strong. 20 minutes in one. his engagement. Five curtain calls and compelled to make a speech. 35 minutes full stage. AL H. WESTON & CO. Presenting "The New Reporter". The company remains the same and am pleased to say that they negotiated this place in great shape being the applause hit of the show up to this time. 23 minutes in one. THE GREAT HENRI FRENCH This man is evidently a Harlem favorite as he received some good applause on his entrance. The character of his act is well known. Can only say that he held them throughout. They appreciated all of his work and he left them wanting more. 20 minutes full stage. PICTURES ARCTIC HUNTING Interesting.
