UNION SQUARE CRITICISM, WEEK OF JULY 1st, 1907. TANNA. This fellow does a very good act. It is a little out of the ordinary juggling acts. He appears in Japanese costume making it a very neat act. The only trouble being that there is no comedy in the act. Went very well. 15 minutes, full stage. ST. JOHN AND LeFEVRE. This act has improved since it last played here. It was a little hard for them on account of their trunks not arriving in time, as they had to work in street clothes. Considering this it went very well. 18 minutes in one. IONE MacLOUTH. This girl has a very good voice, and a very pleasing personality. Her gowns are very pretty which makes it a very nice little three a day act. Sang three songs all of which went very well. I think she will make good on any bill third or fourth at $75.00. 12 minutes in one. KIMBALL AND LEWIS. This is a very good act. The girl is very clever, There is plenty of comedy in it which is made by the man. His acrobatic work and barrel jumping is very good. Went very well. 17 minutes, full stage. DIAMOND AND SMITH. This act can play here two or three times a year. They have several new songs and new pictures which went big. 17 minutes in one. LEAH RUSSELL. This girl has improved very much since she last played here. She has some very good material and delivers it very well. Her main feature being her imitation of the Hebrew imigrant girl which she does very well. Lots of comedy in it, and she received good laughs. I can safely say that she went as well as anything on the bill. I sincerely hope she will be able to secure time as she deserves it. 13 minutes in one. EDDIE MACK AND BOYS. This is a very good act. Of course Mr. Mack is very well known for his clever dancing, and is assisted by two young men, and they are both very clever. One does some very good acrobatic work, and the other is a very good comedian. They keep the audience laughing all through, and they finished very strong with Mr. Mack's Base Ball Dance. I am sure the act would make good in any house. 15 minutes, full stage and close in one. [Text is hidden by page over it; text continues below overleaf:] ELTON POLO TROUPE. This is a very good acrobatic act. Three men all of which being very clever. I consider this act just as good as any of our acts of this kind, and doesn't cost us much. Went very well. 10 minutes, full stage. KINETOGRAPH. The awkward Man. A very funny film. Cohen's Sale. Funny. NOTE. The show this week is very good. Every act is pleasing, plenty of comedy, although I have a lot of singing acts. There is plenty of comedy in each act. Considering the weather the attendance is very good. The show went right through without a hitch. Reed Albee.
