TEMPLE THEATER, DETROIT, MICH. Aug. 5, 1907. J. H. Fin.. Mlle. Martha. Fine looking German girl in a very good trapeze act, closing strong. 13 min. FS. Smith-Bowman Trio. Two colored men and a colored woman in an ordinary singing and comedy act. Not strong enough for the two-a-day houses. 15 in one. Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Forbes & Co. Offering their new comedy playlet "A Wild Rose." While the playlet is much superior to their former vehicle "The Two Rubies," still it is not up to requirements. 25 min. FS. Americus Comedy Four. This quartet is well fitted to a summer bill and it went quite strong with the excursionists. 15 min. in one. Byers & Hermann. This acrobatic pantomime is very good of its kind and it went well with our Monday audiences. 17 min. FS. Beatrice McKenzie, Walter Shannon & Co. Offering "A Shine Flirtation." This is an excellent singing comedy, presented by three people, with an elaborate set in two. 25m. Kinetograph. Three very good subjects are offered, the best of which is "Fishing in Norway." Trovollo. This ventriloquist gave us a very good act, with quite an elaborate set of a hotel office. 20 min. FS. McPhee & Hill. Comedy horizontal bar act. While this is a very good act it is not quite strong enough to close the bill. 10 min. FS.
