PHILADELPHIA SHOW. AUG. 12, 1907. THE FOUR RIANOS. 14 min. F. S. This makes a good closing act. It includes the old professor, the waiting-maid and two comedy monkeys. All are expert acrobats. There is no end of rough fun in the act that keeps the audience convulsed. Its life and swift action are particularly pleasing to the children. Carry their own drops and paraphernalia which are up to the mark. KINETOGRAPH. No. 1. The Lightning Cartoonist. This film is made interesting by photographic trick of making figures move after having been drawn on the paper. Held the interest fairly well. No. 2. English Darby. Excellent film from every standpoint. Not only interesting as a travel picture but includes impromtu comedy. No. 3. Madams Tantrums. Fairly amusing comedy series. GENERAL REMARKS/ This is an all right show, booked at reasonable cost. and giving entire satisfaction. The Press this morning was particularly favorable to Rankin & Davenport and also Fritz Ullrich Trio. The latter not because it was a local act alone, but is a high class musical feature that would do well on any bill. Mary Ann Brown worked against heavy odds, not only having a cold but also having had, I believe, an operation on her tonsils. For all that she made good. The bill is particularly rich in comedy and music.
