217 UNION SQUARE CRITICISM----WEEK OF AUG. 26th, 1907. HILL'S ANIMALS. A very good animal act. All of his dogs worked very well, and it is a very good act to open the show with. Went very fair. 15 minutes, full stage. Three shows. ELSIE HARVEY & BOYS. This is a fair three a day act. She has a fair voice, but her dancing is very good. The boys are both very clever dancers, and both have very good voices and about second or third on the bill they would be all right. Went well. 16 minutes in one. Three shows. MISS ANDRIETTA. This girl is very clever. She sang three songs all of which she composed herself. They are all comedy songs and are very good. I think with a little more experience, and some one to give her a few ideas she would become a very valuable act. Went very well. 14 minutes in one. Three shows. MAX DUFFEK. A very good act for an act of its kind. Of course it is a novelty to play on instruments while he does some acrobatic work. Went very well. 10 minutes, full stage, two shows. MILES AND RICKARDS. This is a very good three a day act. Both very clever people. The woman has a fair voice, and the man has a very good voice, and they do a lot of talking and a little singing. Went very well. 12 minutes in one. Three shows. MR. AND MRS. HARRY THORNE & CO. In "An Up-town Flat.2 Always makes good in this house. Plenty of good comedy, and kept them screaming from the start to the finish. Went big. 20 minutes, full stage. TACIANU. This man is one of the best female impersonators I have ever seen. He has the most wonderful voice for a man I have ever heard; his make-up is remarkable, and he received a hand on his appearance. He sang two songs in soprano voice, and his last song being sung in a Baritone voice, and I feel safe in saying he was the hit of the show. 12 minutes in one. WILLY PANTZER TROUPE. Went very big. Needless to say any more about this act, as they are very well known. 14 minutes, full stage. GEO. H. WOOD. Always makes good with this audience, and he is still telling the same jokes and manages to get away with it. Went very well. 18 minutes in one. PARMENE BROS. A very good act. Both men are clever acrobats, and do their work very good, and consider it a very good act to close the show with. 14 minutes, full stage. KINETOGRAPH. Wondering Willy's Luck. Good. Saved from the wreck. Very interesting film. NOTE. The show this week is very good. There is just enough comedy; in fact enough of everything to make up a very pleasing bill. There were no hitches or waits. Reed Albee,
