UNION SQUARE CRITICISM, WEEK OF SEPT. 2nd, 1907. FREDRIK THE GREAT. Magician. Doing the same tricks as when I saw him last. Went fair. 15 minutes, full stage. Three shows. PARSON SISTERS. Two pretty girls in singing and a little dancing. Their singing is good, but their dancing does not amount to much. This is a fair three a day act. Went fair. 10 minutes in one. Three shows. DALY AND DEVERE. In "The Janitress." Doing the same act, as when I saw them last here. Their jokes are old, and their singing is only fair. Went fair. 15 minutes, full stage. McNAMEE. Clay Modeler. This is a very good three a day act. He got considerable applause after each character. Went very well. 10 minutes in one. HARRIET JONES. Singer. She has a very good good voice, and has a good personality. She sang three songs all of which went very well. This is a good three a day act. Went very well. 10 minutes in one. Three shows. MARZELLA'S BIRDS. This is certainly a good act. The birds do some wonderful tricks, and I think this is one of the best bird acts in the business. Went very well. 21 minutes, full stage, and close in one. Two shows. CLARK, BERGMAN AND MAHONEY. Singing and dancing. Two men and a woman. They are all very good singers and dancers. The woman is very pretty, and has a good personality. Went very well. 11 minutes in one. GRACIE EMMETT & CO. In "Mrs. Murphy Second Husband." Well known. Miss Emmett is certainly clever, and she is assisted by a woman and two men who are also excellent. This is a very good act. Went very well. RAY COX. Comedienne. She has some good material, and made a hit here this afternoon. Went very well. 12 minutes in one. CONTINUED. SNYDER AND BUCKLEY. In "The Street Musicians." Well known. This is a very good musical act. The comedian is certainly good, and keeps the audience laughing all the time. Went very well. 20 minutes full stage, and close in one. JOSEPH HART'S RAIN DEARS. This is a very good singing and dancing act. Miss Montrose is very clever, and she is supported by eight beautiful girls. They make three changes of costumes and sing about four songs all of which went very well. 22 minutes, full stage. CLIFFORD & BURKE. Well known. They certainly made the audience laugh this afternoon. Went very well. 20 minutes in one. URBANI AND SON. This is a very good acrobatic act. The boy is certainly a wonder, and they made a terrific hit here this afternoon.
