CRITICISM KEITH & PROCTOR'S 125TH STREET THEATRE SEPTEMBER 2, 1907. JUNO SALMO Contortionist - using trapeze and pedestal. Spangled costumes special electrical effects, assisted by a man who impersonates the "Devil" with good contortion work that amazed the audience and gave a round of applause. 12 Minutes full stage. KNIGHT BROTHERS AND MARION SAWTELLE Improved slightly. Woman does a character impersonation and managed to keep the holiday crowd in an uproar. The singing and dancing remain the same. Their finish was strong with several bows. 21 Minutes in one. EDDIE CLARK & HIS SIX WINNING WIDOWS The same old act as presented before. Received a little applause after his famous "tout" special. Girls look pretty and were given some recognition for their dancing. One act that should be relegated to the opposition. 25 Minutes - Close to one 5 Minutes. FIVE MAJORS Company of Englishmen who present a pleasing little singing act. which is not going to create a big sensation. The men make an elegant appearance in the English Army uniform. One is quite an excellent pianist and another a good bird imitator. The men have fairly good voices and were well received for their singing. The act in general tone and make-up has an atmosphere of novelty to it. 22 Minutes - Close in One 3 Minutes. GERTRUDE HOFFMAN The idea is similar to Henry Lee or a copy of the french actress Liane D'Eve. Presents imitative caricatures of Vesta Victoria, George Cohan the Gibson Girl, Anna Held, Eddie Foy. Her disrobing in view of the audie hit of the show. 23 Minutes in one. FOUR EVERETTS 2/m 2/w. Presenting an acrobatic and equilibristic act. Very good balancers and splendid acrobats. Rather quiet to close the show here although went well. 10 Minutes full stage. KINETOGRAPH CHRYSANTHEMUMS Colored Film - Good THE NURSES' STRIKE Good Comedy.
