GRAND OPERA HOUSE, PITTSBURG, PA., DEC. 28th, 08. WROE TRIO-Singing and dancing act- 3 shows. 12 minutes, olio. One of the best three show acts in this line that we have ever played. SAMSONS & DELILA-Heavy weight jugglers, Full stage-palace. 10 min. I consider this one of the best acts of the kind in the business. SAM STERN- Hebrew Comedian and Parody Singer. 15 minutes, street. Far above the average among acts doing three shows. JULIE RING & CO.- In "The [Wrong?] Room". 17 min. Full stage, interior. The work of Miss Ring is very good. I think she is a very clever actress and while the act seems to please, I personally do not think the sketch or company are good. HARRY B. LESTER- Imitations and monologue. 15 minutes, street. Going very good. I think this act strong enough for any bill as late as nine o'clock. THE GAINSBOROUGH GIRL- Special in three, 15 minutes. A beautiful act with very good singing. This is a return engagement and she is doing as well as on her first appearance. ROSSOW MIDGETS- Full stage, 15 minutes. It is four years since we have played this act and while I do not consider it as good as the Piccolo Midgets, they go big at every performance. NICHOLS SISTERS-17 minutes, olio. Going big. They have considerable new stuff and at both performances on Monday they were compelled to take several bows. MABEL HITE & MIKE DONLIN- in their sketck-"Stealing Home". 20 Min. Introducing a song by Mabel Hite. The act is a big hit. This may be due to the fact that their sketch is written around Hans Wagner and Mike Donlin. The finish of the act when Hite and Donlin do their dancing is a scream. Donlin's attempt at dancing is the funniest thing I ever saw and they have received more solid applause at the close of the act than anything we have played in a long while. SIX AMERICAN DANCERS-Special drop in one, 14 minutes. This is a very good dancing act and going well in a hard place. WINSTON'S SEALS-Special, 15 minutes. Better than any of the seal acts we have played, except Woodward. John [P.?] Harris.
