KEITH'S-HIPPODROME. Cleveland, Ohio. Ned S. Hastings. Feb 22nd, 1909. KRAMER & SHECK. Time 8. Open in 2 go to 3. Refined and quiet muscle exhibition. Kramer gives a short and interesting talk on body-building. CARBREY BROTHERS(2) In 1. Time 8. Very good dancers. Could hold down a far harder spot easily. Frequent applause throughout. 4-FELIX & BARRY-4 1 man, 3 women. Open C.D.F, close in 1 for 5 min. Total time, 25. A hodge podge of highly amusine songs, dances and eccentric table tumbling. A quick and lively act, holding the audience well. A good many laughs. MILITARY OCTETTE. Spec in 1, 2, & 4. Close in 1 for 3 min. Total time [23?]. 7 men, 2 women, John Leick and Mabel Keith. Combined brass instrumentalists, singers, cornet soloist (Leick), with Miss Keith "the girl with the baton", making an attractive picture on the leader's stand in the orchestra pit. The act has quite a military atmosphere, displaying three changes of national costumes. Scenic effects conventional, but pleasing. The act goes with a bang, vim and lots of life. Rather noisey to a cultivated ear, but doing very well in this spot. AVON COMEDY FOUR. 4 men. Open in 3, close in 1. Time 21. Big comedy and singing hit. Very funny. CLARA BELLE JEROME. "Joyland." In 4 spec. set with interchanging drops. Assisted by William Seymour (eccentric dancer & singer) and eight dancing girls. This act is beautifully staged and is a great credit to Mr. Sohlke. The novelties are genuine, and the pony ballet is excellent, taking the house by storm. Time 24. NAT M. WILLS. In 1. time 26. Monologue and singing. Some new, although mostly old, material. Same big riot of applause. The laughing hit of the bill. SIX BONESETTIS TROUPE. 5 men, 1 woman. Time 8. Palace in 4. Good closing act. Novelty acrobats.
