KEITH'S-HIPPODROME. Cleveland, Ohio. Ned S. Hastings Feb, 15th, 1909 HILL, CHERRY & HILL. 3 men (2 straight, 1 comedy tramp.) Time 20. In 3. Uni-and-bicyclists. Comedian very good. Riding fair. Fair applause. EMMETT DEVOY & CO. C.D.F., special. Time, 25. 2 men, 2 women, 1 boy. "In Dreamland." This act was once a novelty, but it has outlived its usefulness as such here. The scenery is in frightful condition. It is warped, worn, and patches of paint have been scraped off at frequent intervals. The act was a very dreary exhibition Monday afternoon. BETH STONE. In 1. Time 8. Miss Stone opens with a catchy song, which she sings fairly well. Her toe dancing is excellent and full of variety. M'LLE THERESE [RENZ?]. In 4, black cloth panorama. A beautiful equestrienne feature. The first horse used in a beautiful chestnut, that does several tricks well. The pure white Arabian, used at last, does a decided novelty in rope jumping. Time, 11. BESSIE WYNN. In 1. Time, 20. Several changes of costume. Personally attractive. Songs fairly well done, but suggestive and inclined to coarseness, at times. However she went well. Her dance toward the close is by far the best thing she does. LULU BEESON TRIO. Time 12. 2 men and Miss Beeson. Open F.S. special Mexican exterior, with cloud effect. This is a very pretty scene, but the trio makes a fatal mistake in trying to sing, a thing they cannot do. They redeem with some odd dancing in Mexican costumes. Change to 1. On the mat they give a whirlwind finish, buck and wing, and win big applause. In this work they rival the best dancing ever seen here. WILLA HOLT WAKEFIELD. Special attractive set in 1. Time 11. A delightful act. Big applause. Unquestionably the individual hit of the bill. NEIL BURGESS. 8 men. Time 29. Open barn interior, F.S.: street in 2, special: race scene: street in 2 close. A good rural sketch in which the interest centers in Mr Burgess's laughable portrayal of "Aunt Abby." The race scene is somewhat novel, in that the horses are shown racing head-on toward the audience, and then they make a pretty turn across stage. The act was well received Monday afternoon. Some local "extras" rapidly drilled into the crowd scene may have impeded the rapidity of the action the first performance to some extent.
