John B. Hymer & Co. In "The Devil and Tom Walker". I really fail to see why all the fuss has been made about this act. To make doubly sure I had Mr. Hymer in the office this morning and got him to eliminate a number of "Hells" which probably were never missed. Those that were left in were not offensive - were not used as profane expressions, merely to designate the place. I don't believe the question of the theme being objectionable would ever occur to an outsider. And surely only to very few if it did occur at all. The audience were immensely pleased with the act and I noted the faces of the ladies around me and failed to discover one sign of disapproval. It went with shrieks of approval and laughter and I am sure it will be a drawing card during the week. Motion Pictures O.K.
