KEITH'S-HIPPODROME. Cleveland, Ohio. Ned Hastings. March 1st, 1909. CHARLES CAROLS TROUPE OF ANIMALS. F.S. Woods. Time, 12. Dogs, ponies, pigeons. An attractive act with good tricks. Neat but a little slow in action. JUGGLING DE LISLE. In 1. Time, 11. Juggles tennis racques and balls, clubs & hats. Has pleasing stage presence. Fair act. DAN BURKE and his HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS. Burke & 4 girls. Time 17. Open C.D.F. close in 1. As a dancing act this offering is excellent. There is 5 minutes of sentiment that is weak and not worth while in mine opinion. Poor start, good finish. Too long for material presented. THREE HANLONS. In 2. 3 men. Time 10. Comedy acrobats. There is a generally new and unique impression about the entire act. It is fast and neat. The hand balancing is excellent. One running jump to a hand catch is wonderful. NAT M. WILLS. In 1. Time 26. Same big roar, this, the second, week. "NIGHT WITH THE POETS. In 3, special drawing room. 5 men and 2 men and 1 woman poser. Good poetic reading, with living picture tableau accompaniment. Quartette, good. Novelty and well received. CLARICE MAYNE. With man accompanist, who is also a good comedian. Time 26. Miss Mayne is attractive and has pretty costumes. She gives impersonations of British artists who have become popular in this country, and sings one or two songs as herself. Unquestioned hit. CHARLES AHEARN TROUPE. In 3, special. Time, 15. 3 men, 1 young woman. This is a very funny comedy bicycle act, introducing eight or ten freak wheels. Ahearn is a comedian of the first degree.
