KEITH'S HIPPODROME. Cleveland, Ohio. March 15th 1909 Ned S. Hastings. MARSEILLES. F.S. black plush special. Time 7. Contortionist. Remarkably clever and effective. Without the usual offensive squirms. Good hand. MABELLE ADAMS. In 1. Time 13. Very fine violiniste in gypsy costume. Big hand. Classical repertory. GLADYS ARNOLD & EDWIN FELIX. Time 18. Open special set in 1. Protean sketch with three parts taken by Felix. Arnold is a good Bowery dialect girl. Well done. ANNA LAUGHLIN & JOE HOWARD. F.S. Time 27. Offering a singing sketch, "Entertaining My Big Sister's Beau." Both are unquestionably clever, and deserve better material. The songs go very well. The dialogue is very poor and uninteresting. ***** See Below. LA PETITE REVUE. Time 20, Special in 1 1/2. 3 women, 4 men. Human heads on dolls bodies on a puppet stage. Three phases are given,-(1) stage celebrities of to-day. (2) A scene from Pinafore and (3) A Slumberless serenade. The voices are all good and the act goes with much fun and enthusiasm. One of the best novelties we have had for some time. Ought to score anywhere. Big applause throughout. CLIFFORD & BURKE. In 1. Time, 21. Black face singing, talking and dancing comedians. Same general line of work although the dialogue is mostly new. A big laughing hit here. DARE DEVIL SCHREYER & CO. Still the greatest spectacle ever produced on any stage. Reread article in N.Y. Telegraph of March 9th, 1909. ***** De Haven & Sidney. 2 men. Great team of dancers using a little singing to fill in. Their novelty of "The Dancing Waiter" is well done. In 1. Time, 11.
