The horse-race got immense applause. A great card for a house like this. JACK WILSON & COMPANY. "An Upheaval in Darktown." 25 min. Same act as presented here before with variations, Wilson introducing a lot of topical stuff and very funny. Some new parodies that were well received. Plenty of ginger in this act, although a little too rough in spots. Big close. DUNEDINE TROUPE. 15 min. F.S. Unquestionably one of the best, if not the most skilful bicycle acts in the worls. These people attempt feats that seem incredible. Well dressed and showman-like in every particular. Very strong applause with the finish which is a most remarkable exhibition of skill and nerve. KINETOGRAPH. "On the Zambeze." A travel film particularly interesting on account of Roosevelt's prospective visit to Africa. "A Pretty Little Milliner." Lively comedy film. LOUIS M. GRANAT. 9 min. A good whistling act, as whistling acts go and all right for a small spot. Have an idea that whistling acts are no longer very popular. Received some applause. JULES HARRON. 15 min. Some German songs and a line of patter that got by fairly well. Also gave some imitations. Worthy of an obscure spot only in a house like this, but might get by better in the smaller houses. GENERAL REMARKS. This is certainly a swift show, and no mistake. Everybody more than pleased. No less than three would make acceptable closers -- The Dunedin Troupe, "The County Fair" abd Miran-Golem Trouple. Certainly if the people want big returns for their money, they will get it this week in this exceptional bill.
