KEITH'S PROSPECT. Cleveland, Ohio. Ned S. Hastings. May 3rd 1909. REED BROTHERS. Open in 1, Close F.S. interior with apparatus. Time 14. Very difficult feats of strength on horizontal bar and rings. Comedy element excellent. One of the best acts of the kind ever seen here. Could hold down any spot on the bill. James Francis Dooley & Corinne Sales. In 1. Time 21. Slow start. Pick up well with songs and rather clever talk. Fast close to big applause. Act too long. Otherwise fair to good. RICE & PREVOST. F.S. Woods. Time 10. This much touted act is apparently trading on its past reputation. Their first performance here was decidedly not up to expectations, and scarcely justified headline billing. The work of Cornalla & Eddie, here last week, in this line was much funnier and got a better hand. In my opinion the act does not justify its salary. EDMUND STANLEY & CO. F.S. Special. Time 17. Presenting an odd oriental musical playlet entitled, "Love's Garden." Stanley is a fair singer but a very poor and "stagey" actor. The two women have beautiful voices and save the act, which is somewhat of a novelty in conception. CHASSINO. Time 10 F.S. with special screen and projecting apparatus. One woman assistant. Shadowgraphist. This man is a genius. Not only does he do wonderful shadow pictures with his hand, but he also closes with some great pictures made with his bare feet. A genuine novelty and an emphatic hit. EVA TAYLOR & CO. 2 men, 2 women. Time 21 Presenting "Chums." C.D.F. This is an excellent farce eclipsing in construction and lines the average vaudeville sketch by all odds. It proved a great roar throughout. Barring a few risque lines, it is faultless. ALICE LLOYD. In 1 Time 25. Some new songs. Same big hit. Better than ever in drawing power. ZENO, JORDAN & ZENO. F.S. Time 15. Man, youth and girl. Trapeze and bounding net. The act is so greatly out of practice that it is impossible to tell what they are capable of. Apparently they are far above the average, but their many slips and misses Monday afternoon spoiled the effect of their little good work.
