REPORT ON PROVIDENCE SHOW, WEEK of MAY 10, 1909. Charles Lovenberg, Manager. The bill this week plays very well indeed. Every act scored a hit. Dailey Brothers Acrobats, hand and head balancers. A good lively act introducing some exceptional tricks. Good enough to open the show in any house and to close in many. 8 Min. F. S. Chalk Saunders Clever act with crayon drawing that pleased. 10 Min. in One. Devlin & Ellwood Comedy sketch, which has been described from other houses. Man not exceptional but woman very good. Pleased the audience. 18 Min. F. S. Frosini Concertinist who made his usual hit. 11 Min. in One. Brown, Harris & Brown Well-known act that scored as always. 26 Min. opens F. S. Close in One. "The Van Dyck" The Boston report goes for here. Act went very well indeed. 16 Min. F. S. Williams & Walker Glee Club Sixteen colored men singing in true musical style and made good decidedly. 21 Min. Open F. S. Close in One. Wormwood's Animals Created the same strong impression here that it has all along the line, the bicycle riding of the monkeys being little short of marvelous. 18 Min. F. S. Motion Pictures O.K. This is our last week of the vaudeville season, but we would like to have the other vaudeville theatres continue to send us their reports all summer. Will resume sending ours to those who want them when we re-open with vaudeville.
