Cleveland, Ohio. Keith's Hippodrome. Aug 30th 1909 Ned Hastings. FOUR FLOODS. 4 men. In 3 with spec back drop. Time 9. Grotesque clowning and tumbling. Comedy very good, pantomime funny. Could hold down much harder spot easily. ADONIS. Man. Time 9. In 2 special pedestal. Very neat contortion, dislocation and equilibristic work. Adonis introduces a trick dog along with his work. The dog is immense and gives a good finish. NATALIE and AURIE DAGWELL. In 1. Time 12. Singing in suitable costumes songs of 1776, 1861 and 1909. The best singing duo I have ever heard in vaudeville. Voices are well blended, effective and the ladies do not scream like most roof garden prima donnas. One big hit. CHRISTY & WILLIS. Man and woman. 4 woods. Time 12. Act opens with neat and pretty toe dancing. Man enters in hobo costume on phoney auto, business of explosion etc.-all very funny. As a juggler the man is skillful and very funny. His monologue while working is top-notch. JONES, GRANT and JONES. 2 men 2 women (colored.) Open in 1, C.D.F., close in 1. Characteristic negro nonsense with dialogue decidedly above the average. The act runs 25 minutes and drags boresomely. Their material should be compressed into not more than 15 min. FOUR CASTING DUNBARS. 4 men. Time 12. 4 woods. As good as ever, with little if any new material, however. ARTHUR DUNN & MARIE GLAZIER. C.D.F. Time 18. Offering "The Messenger Boy." Some bright new lines and generally satisfactory. However they seemed to be doing real labor this afternoon to fill out their alloted time. ANNA LAUGHLIN. In 1. Time 14. Dainty songs and dances. With the partner the sex of whom I fear to venture upon. Miss Laughlin has some attractive, new kid songs and she finishes in whirlwind fashion in a natty costume of tights. MISS ANNETTE KELLERMANN. Time 14. Opens in 1 with exhibition of diabolo. Closes this week in special adaptation of our tank. All that has een said about Miss Kellermann's curves and grace is hereby verified. She gives about a dozen different sorts of dives from springboards.
