REPORT MARYLAND THEATER SHOW WEEK OF SEPT. 6TH Baltimore Maryland. THE DALYS = Man and woman. Very pretty costumed, in roller skating act. Carry their own set. Act goes very well. Full stage. 10 minutes. McDonald, Crawford & Montrose = Singing and dancing act. This is a new act By James McDonald, and two girls. Gets by fairly well. Girls change costumes four times. They dance very well Mc Donald sings and dances acceptable. Act in 1 runs 13 minutes. FELIX & BARRY FOUR = In "The Boy Next Door", Act is well known on the circuit. Going better than ever. Full stage [26?] Minutes, Close in 1 four minutes. ROBT. [D.?] KEGGEREIS & CO= Presenting Edgar Allen Poe's "Tell Tale Heart". Full stage, 23 Minutes. This is an extremely serious sketch in which Mr. Keggerreis does some exceptionally fine acting, thus meriting the very generous applause which he receives at the finale. The playlet is one of those morbid themes that rivet the attention of the audience, but would not care to play this character of act over once or twice a season. EMMA FRANCIS & ARABS= Same good act as before, but on a little late. Full stage 12 minutes. Charles & Fannie Van = This act is certainly a big laughing hit and is plesing all parts of the house. 16 minutes in 1. CARTER DE HAVEN= Plush set, Piano accompanist and two pages to assist in De Haven's costume changes. De Haven certainly has surprised me as I did not think such an act was in him. It is certainly classy in every particular. He does five songs with a change of costume for each. His songs are exceptionally good, while his acompanist is the best ever and shared equal honors with De Haven. 30 minutes in 1 1/2. SIMPLE SIMON SIMPLE= Scenery and baggage lost in transit so did not appear KINETOGRAPH = Pictures of Yellowstone Park. Very Good. Fred. C. Schanberger Maryland Theater, Baltimore Md. Note = Please send us your criticism weekly in exchange for this. F.C.S.
