CHASE'S WASHINGTON Week Oct. 4th, 1909. DEXTER FERRY In a special set of an appropriate character, made up as a frog, he does some excellent contortion work. Full stage. ARTHUR RIGBY He does about the same blackface act, but probably new material mostly, as in former days. In one. JANE COURTHOPE and Co. "Lucky Jim". A pretty good melodrama, especially good scenery, in which the acting is effective, the support being more capable than the star. Full stage. INTERMISSION IMRO FOX This magician seemed to please equally as well, if not better than any we have ever played, his manner and comedy being especially humorous. Full stage. NONETTE Pleasing violiniste and vocalist. In one. WHITE-STUART and Co. "Cherie". Better than ever and made a hit. Full stage. GUS EDWARDS' "KOUNTRY KIDS" I think this act will do very nicely for us but would be better earlier on the bill. Had to place them here as White and Stuart refused to close the show. THE AMERICAN VITAGRAPH "Washington Under the American Flag of The Spirit of '76" Very pretty and interesting. NOTE:- There was no wait between White and Stuart and "Kountry Kids" as we struck and set in view of the audience, which made as big a hit and was as much enjoyed as any act on the bill. We do this two or three times a season but have the right to do so copyrighted, so the other houses beware and do not infringe. H. Winnifred De Witt, Manager.
