PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S FEB. 4, 8 PATHE. 12 min. Very good pictures. ATHOS & HEAD: 11 min. A very good skating act by a young man and young girl. The man does a particularly good routine of tricks on skates and the act was a very good applause-winner in the opening position. CORBETT, SHEPARD & DUNN. 16 min. This trio put over a good applause hit with their songs. Several of their numbers are of a comedy nature and brought excellent results. All three have pleasing voices and they finished to a big hand. MARYON VADIE & OTA GYGI. 15 min. A very high-class musical and dance offering. The combination is an excellent one and artistically arranged so that both principals are shown to advantage. Gygi's violin numbers won individual honors and the act closed to a big hand. EDDIE DOWLING. 18 min. As a "nut" comedian, he ranks right up with the best of them and kept the audience laughing from start to finish of his act. He did one serious bit that got over and finished with a dialect number that took him off to a good hand. "KISSES." 24 min. This very clever sketch repeated the favorable impression made on its first showing here a year ago. It is not only a cleverly written playlet, but is splendidly acted and contains plenty of bright lines and situations. It was very well liked and finished strong. DEIRO. 14 min. One of the biggest applause hits of the show went to the credit of this clever musician. His program includes classical as well as popular numbers and he was compelled to give two extra encores. JULIAN ELTINGE. 18 min. A capacity house welcomed this artist and enjoyed every minutes of his unusual offering. His songs are not new but each one scored solidly and he finished to a big hand, being brought back for a neat speech of thanks. MISSES [CHALFONTE?]. 10 min. A very pretty dancing number by two girls, attractively costumed and staged. The girls do four numbers, each of which is well done and at the finish they were accorded a liberal hand. GENERAL REMARKS. It looks like a record-week with Julian Eltinge as the headliner. He opened with two capacity matinees and the house sold out for the evening performance. The show played perfectly satisfactorily from start to finish and everyone went away pleased. CUTS EDDIE DOWLING: Elimination of "cow and bull" story; expression "For God's sake; also change the line "You'll have the pleasure of seeing me without pants."
