PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S MAY 6, 8 PATHE. The usual average of pictures. FRANK SHIELDS. 10 min. A good routine of lariat-throwing with some comedy foot work on a revolving globe and some dancing. A very good opener. SKIPPER & KASTRUP. 12 min. A young fellow and girl with songs. Good voices and sing well together. Were very well liked. THREE CHUMS. 15 min. A trio working in evening clothes and setting representing interior of a club. Boys sing single and trio numbers, one playing the piano and violin. Finish with an instrumental medley to a good hand. HUNTING & FRANCIS. 20 min. "Love Blossoms." Same act as before. Has always pleased here and was well received this time, closing to a big hand. FLANAGAN & EDWARDS. 20 min. "Off and On." This act also has played this house several times and always a hit. Went over great this time with a big comedy and applause finish with instruments and a bit of dancing. A corking good act. THE COURTNEY SISTERS. 14 min. First appearance here in some time for these favorites and they scored on of the big hits of the show. Sang a half dozen songs and scored with every one. Were liberally rewarded with applause. LADY DUFF GORDON. 36 min. Simply a display of feminine wearing apparel but it held the interest of the audience from start to finish. Introduced by Lady Duff Gordon who was warmly applauded for her speech about the charity she was doing with this act. The series of parades showing an assortment of marvelous wearing apparel got frequent bits of applause and there was a big hand at the finish. ROCKWELL & WOOD. 12 min. A big laughing hit with their nut comedy. No changes from the last time they played here but a surefire comedy of its kind. FOUR BARDS. 9 min. A very handsomely staged acrobatic turn and the quartet does a routine of showy hand-to-hand tricks. Gave the show a very good closing number. GENERAL REMARKS. An excellent vaudeville bill surrounded the Lady Duff Gordon fashion revue and with the changes made after the matinee it was satisfactory in every way. The new routine follows:- A Orchestra B Pathe C Frank Shields D Skipper & Kastrup E Three Chums F Hunting & Francis G Rockwell & Wood H Lady Duff Gordon I Courtney Sisters J Flanagan & Edwards K Four Bards L Exit CUTS ROCKWELL & WOOD: Directing remarks to people in audience and use of "Rabbi," "corset steel," "dirty claw" and the line about the "last car gone."
