PHILADELPHIA B.F. KEITH'S JULY 1, 8 PATHE. Pictures of American troops brought applause. EVEREST'S CIRCUS. 11 min. One of the best animal acts we have ever played. A routine of clever tricks by the monkeys is enlivened by comedy which kept the audience laughing. An excellent opener. DE HAVEN & NICE. 9 min. These boys got very little with their burlesque opening but finished strong with a few minutes of very good eccentric dancing. ETHEL MAC DONOUGH. 15 min. Her new act consists of character impersonations with song and she finishes with a patriotic ballad. Act is good looking, material handled and well received. MILITARY OCTETTE. 42 min. A bunch of boys formerly in vaudeville and now in the service stationed at Fort DuPont, Delaware. Present a minstrel first part dressed in army uniforms, two in blackface doing end-men. Program includes popular songs and ballads and a routine of jokes. Act could get over on performance alone but with boys in uniform it was a riot of applause. JIM & MARIAN HARKINS. 17 min. Local act and repeated same big laughing act as on former visits. Very little change except in songs. Harkins' comedy kept them laughing and the act closed strong. FRANKLIN & GREEN. 27 min. First appearance after a long absence and just as big a hit as ever. All her songs are new and as good as she has ever offered here. Mr. Green won individual honors with his piano selections. Won plenty of applause and took several bows after an encore number. HUSSEY & WORSLEY. 16 min. They have a big laugh-winner in their new military skit that is filled with funny dialogue. Hussey's new songs brought a riot of laughter and the act closed to a big hand. SEABURY & SHAW. 15 min. A very high-class dancing act, prettily staged and dressed. Six number splendidly executed, the man being an exceptionally clever eccentric stepper and in the closing position, the act went big. GENERAL REMARKS. A splendid summer show starting big with the opening act and holding right up to the finish. Audience remained seated longer than usual. CUTS MILITARY OCTETTE. Elimination of song by Harkins "Never Too Old to Love." JIMMY HUSSEY. Business of thumbing nose in salute and use of the word "helluva."
