PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S AUG. 26, 8 PATHE. 8 min. A good lot of pictures. THE SEEBACKS. 14 min. Doing about the same routine of trick bag-punching used for several years. Open a little slow with comedy but the act made an acceptable opener. CLARA & EMILY BARRY. 15 min. Did very well with songs and piano selections. The comedy talk and the dancing help considerably and they finished to a good hand. CHARLES IRWIN. 15 min. Tells some very good war stories and got a lot of laughs with these and two good comedy song numbers well delivered. Finished strong. FRADKIN & MISS JEAN TELL. 18 min. A very high-class musical act, the man being an exceptional violinist and the woman a brilliant vocalist. They do single numbers, closing with a duet and the act was a big hit. BRONSON & BALDWIN. 16 min. This couple scored solidly with comedy talk and song. The fellow has a breezy style, puts plenty of pep into his work and is given able assistance by the girl. BARNES & CRAWFORD. 22 min. First appearance here in several years and were very well received. Much of the comedy is old but Barnes gets it across and kept the house amused all the time he was on the stage. The act finished big. BLOSSOM SEELEY and Her Musicians. 31 min. Although only a slight change has been made in the songs, this act was the big applause hit of the show. All her numbers, new and old, went over big and at the finish she was forced to give an extra encore and take several bows. FOSTER BALL. 20 min. Assisted by Kernan Cripps. This same act has played here several times and is always a good laugh winner. In the next-to-closing spot, following a speedy show, it held the position in good shape and finished strong. LA VEEN & CROSS. 10 min. The act bearing this name is well known, but LaVeen has a new partner having lost the original one in the draft. Burlesque dancing, posing and hand-balancing are used but as framed up at present, the whole act is all wrong. There is no speed and in the closing position, it got absolutely nothing. In selling this act the agent is alone to blame and anyone recommending it for the big time in its present condition deserves severe censure. The act was given an opportunity to work out five minutes for the night show. GENERAL REMARKS. Up to the closing act this show was thoroughly satisfactory in every way with plenty of comedy and music as the feature. The Red Cross pictures of "The Allied Fourth of July in Paris" were shown after the vaudeville bill and held close attention. CUTS BRONSON & BALDWIN. Modification of expression "dirty pup" and the entire story about the taxicab at the grave.
