PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S NOVEMBER 11 8 PATHE - 14 min. Good lot of pictures featuring scenes celebrating the preliminary announcement of peace. ROODE & FRANCE - 8 Min. A very showy wire-walking act by a man and woman. Good routine, nicely handled and prettily staged. Good opener. CHRIS RICHARDS - 10 min. About the same routine of dancing, comedy and juggling. A tremendous laughing hit. Closed strong. BURNS & ARDINE - 16 Min. Man and woman singing and dancing turn. Nicely dressed. Do some singing but the dancing is the feature. Have single and double numbers closing with a fast routine. Went big. MONTGOMERY & PERRY - 23 min. Owing to the death of one of the Allen sisters, who was the wife of Perry, both acts being billed here for this week, Montgomery & Perry did their old act and it was just as big a laughing hit as ever. It is all nut comedy, full of action and fun. Went very well. VALESKA SURATT - 28 min. "The Purple Poppy". The same sketch she used last season and the best she has ever done in vaudeville. It is strongly dramatic, fitted in splendidly with all the comedy on the bill and held the audience from start to finish. A very big flash and was very well received. CRAWFORD & BRODERICK - 14 min. We have played this act three or four times and it has always been a big hit. Today it went just as big as ever. Following this act we staged a special number. With two singers leading and the orchestra playing, the entire house stood and sang the "Doxology". It was the most impressive ceremony ever held within the walls of this theatre. And undoubtedly made a lasting impression upon everyone who witnessed it. At the finish cheers were given for President Wilson, the boys in the service, and the women of America. BERT BAKER & CO. in "Prevarication" - 23 min. A roar of laughter and one of the funniest sketches in vaudeville. Plenty of action and very well played. RUTH ROYE - 13 min. The biggest hit she has ever made in this house. [??] a number of good songs and had her audience with her from the start. Every song went big and she finished very strong. "SPORTS IN THE ALPS" - 7 min. In the closing spot this act went big. [??] is picturesque and the acrobatics are the best of the kind we have played. GENERAL REMARKS - This show opened what is probably the greatest week the history of our theatre. Not only was the close of the war celebrated it marked the Sixteenth Anniversary of the opening of the house. The box-office was cleaned before 10 o'clock in the morning and hundreds were turned away. The show was a riot, every act contributing to the hurrah. CUTS MONTGOMERY & PERRY - Elimination of the word "Bushwah" and business of speaking of people entering the theatre. CHRIS RICHARDS - Elimination of the expressions "What the devil" and the word "Hell".
