BOSTON KEITH'S Dec. 30, 8 Weekly:- Interesting Johnny Singer & Dolls:- 9 min. F. S. Lively dancing act and made a good opener. Harmon & O'Connor:- 17 min. in one. These girls offer a novel singing comedy act and held this spot nicely. Julie Ring & Co.:- 17 min. in 1 1/2 Spec. Interesting talking skit, got quite a few laughs and closed to a fair hand. "What Girls Can Do":- 29 min. F.S. and one. Spec. When this act went on Monday afternoon, closing the show, the house was crowded to the roofs. Before it was half over the aisles were jammed with people trying to get out, and all but about 100 were out when the act finished. We gave it this four spot at night, and it was like putting a five or six small time turn in the middle of a big time show. If some of the cast had done their old acts the result might have been better. Fred Allen:- 18 min. in one. Works somewhat similar to Joe Cook and went over with lots of laughs. Bryan & Broderick:- 12 min. F.S. Spec. Boy and girl in a classy dancing act. Started a little slowly, but closed to a big hand. Arnold & Allman:- 20 min. in one. These folks have a novel singing and talking act, and held this spot well. Phyllis Neilson-Ferry:- 15 min. F.S. Miss Terry certainly went over in good shape and could easily have taken more encores. Jimmy Hussey & Co.:- 23 min. in one. Spec. Just the same hit as on previous visits here. Red Cross Pictures:- Closed the show.
