PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S FEBRUARY 24, 9 KINOGRAMS - 13 mins. Pictures not as good as first two series. Very few tints and photography not clear. The Clemenceau pictures were shown recently at one of the motion picture houses. BUD SNYDER, JOE MELINO & CO.-14 mins. Three men work in this act, two doing comedy in eccentric make-up. Only a short routine of tricks is used. The act drags badly at times. It got a fair amount of laughs. ED MARSHALL - 16 mins. Having just returned from France he appeared in uniform of the United States Army and was warmly greeted. He drew several comedy subjects and also sketched people in the audience. Used some talk with his sketching and did very well. LADY TSEN MEI - 15 mins. A very interesting novelty. Her work as a screen star has added much to her popularity and she was well received. Sang four songs and did some imitations of birds, etc. Made one change of costume, wearing a very attractive gown for her final number and closed to a big hand. CLAUD & FANNIE USHER - 30 mins. in "Fagan's Decision". This is an old sketch but we have not played it here for several years. It is a very nice blending of comedy and sentiment and was well received. LILLIAN SHAW - 24 mins. Her first appearance here in a long time and she came back strong. She not only put songs over in great shape but has a lot of comedy talk and a new wedding song that works in with her big comedy number in great fashion, making a tremendous laughing hit. Her straight songs are all new and she finished to a big hand, being forced to respond with two extra numbers. FRANK DOBSON in "The Sirens" - 40 mins. A very highly colored musical tabloid with plenty of action. It contains a number of catchy numbers and got over in very good style. Dobson is a clever light comedian, works hard and has the big hit number in a jazz piece in which he is assisted by a lively stepping chorus. The act finishes with an elaborate gown display by the girls that creates a great deal of enthusiasm among the women and is sure to cause some talk. The act closed very strong. BAILEY & COWAN - 12 mins. These boys were one of the big applause hits of the show with their jazz music and songs, repeating the big hit made here last year. They have added a girl to the act for the closing number, scoring strongly and closed to a very big hand. UPSIDE DOWN MILLETTES - Two men in a very showy head balancing act. They do their tricks on a trapeze, swinging and stationary, and held close attention in the closing spot, finishing to a very good hand. GENERAL REMARKS - For the first time in a long while we had a big, flashy musical comedy as the feature, surrounded by plenty of variety and it rounded out a very good entertainment, going over very well with a capacity audience.
