BOSTON BOSTON Feb. 24, 9 Weekly:- Interesting. Wilfred Du Bois:- 10 min. f. s. Neat and fast juggling act opened the show well. Juliette Dika:- 20 min. in 1. This girl has a varied program of songs and beautiful costumes, her numbers were well received, and she closed to a good hand. Haig & Lockett:- 16 min. f.s. Spec. A well staged dancing act, the boy and girl both doing clever work, went over very good. J. F. Nugent & Co.:- 23 min. in 1 and f.s. A novel sketch called "The Meal Hound". Very capably handled, went over good. Conway & Fields:- 24 min. in 1 and f.s. A conglomeration of singing and talking long, drawn out, went fairly good. Joe Jackson:- 10 min. f.s. A big laughing hit. Belle Baker:- 20 min. in 1. Miss Baker has a good program of songs and went over very well. Avon Comedy Four:- 21 min. in 1 and f.s. Spec. These boys were their usual laughing hit, but do not sing as well as on former visits. Howard's Ponies:- 13 min. f.s. Spec. This well known animal act held the audience fairly well closing. CUTS: Haig & Lockett: Please use fleshings for the remainder of the week. Please eliminate all movements of the shimmy dance for the remainder of the week. Conway & Fields: Please take out the "Shimmy song", also reference to William Randolph Hearst, and eliminate expression "darn fool". Eliminate all movements of the shimmy dance; reference to B. V. D.'s; line "I am not Swedish, I am Jewish"; also "things go slow down at City Hall." Belle Baker: Would advise substituting something else for the catch lines in reference to "All the love I wish he has no gotta the ambish" in the Italian song.
