REPORT OF BIJOU THEATRE, WOONSOCKET, R. I., Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, March 31, April 1 and 2. BELL & GRAY--- Sensational Wire Novelty--Man and woman; open in one with song and dance; then to full stage--featuring tango dancing, running and jumping on the wire; several changes in costume. 9 min.; went good. FRANK MULLANE--- Musical Scales and Humorous Tales--Mullane is very engaging fellow with a good tenor voice--his stories went over good and the act in all went big. 12 min. in one. JAMES DIAMOND & SIBYL BRENNAN--- In "Niftynonsense"--special drop representing a millinery store. Nonsensical songs and talk which went over good. 15 min. in one. A S Watson Report on the show at the "Scenic" the week of March 24-1919. Jimmy Dunn. "Mimic." Same old act he has been doing the past 20 years. Went fairly good Meredith & his Dog Snoozer. A very clever Dog. went good. Dorothy Hayes & Co In "When Men Work" A poor sketch. C.D.F. Bobby Heath, and his girlish Revue. A nice act. Went good. Special scenery in 4. Fair show. Thursday The Nakae Japs. "Jiu Jitsu" A good act, audience liked it very much. The Whirlwind Haggans. Dancing act, went fairly good. Joe Towle. "Piano & Monolague" Thought the act was good, the audience did'nt seem to take the same view. Went fair. Lea Morgan & Meryl Gray. Comedy sketch. "Every Day in the Year." Lot of good comedy in the act, but audience did'nt seem to care for the act. Very few sketches seem to get over in this town. Reddy
