PHILADELPHIA B. F. KEITH'S April 21, 9 KINOGRAMS - (13 mins.) A good lot of pictures featuring Victory Loan subjects. HOWARD'S SPECTACLE - (14 mins.) One of the best animal acts in vaudeville and always a hit for us. Made a very good opening number for Easter week. TRACEY & MCBRIDE - (17 mins.) They did very well with a mixture of songs, dances and some comedy bits, the girl carrying the latter and getting plenty of laughs. Closed to a good hand. OWEN McGIVENEY - (17 mins.) in "Bill Sikes" - He did this protean play in which he assumes five different characters, in this house sometime ago and repeated the tremendous hit on this visit. The act is unquestionably one of the very best dramatic offerings in vaudeville. It held close attention and closed very strong. "GEORGIE" PRICE - (22 mins.) He was the applause hit of the show, proving a genuine surprise to the audience which fairly ate up everyone of his imitations and continued the applause after he had finished an enchore number. His Fannie Brice imitation was a veritable riot. HALLIGAN & SYKES - (18 mins.) "Somewhere In Jersey" - This is the same sketch this couple used last year and it scored a good sized laughing hit for them. Halligan has a lot of bright talk, handles it well and the act closed to a big hand. MARIE NORDSTROM - (20 mins.) - This is by far a better act than this clever artiste gave us on previous visits. There is more variety to it, it is filled with bright material and Miss Nordstrom is working considerably better than when she appeared here before. She was a big applause winner. GUS EDWARDS - (28 mins.) Given a hearty welcome Mr. Edwards had no trouble carrying off all the honors due the headliner. He does the majority of the singing himself, mixing some new songs with old favorites and he is very well supported by two girls and a boy. The act went very big. FELIX ADLER - (18 mins.) Always a big laugh winner in this house Adler went even better than ever with his new act. A lot of it is nut comedy and he uses some of the material offered before, but he has a lot of new stuff and Miss Frances Ross, the girl in the act, gives him able assistance. In the next to closing spot he was splendid. MISS ROBBIE GORDONE - (7 mins.) The beautiful posing pictures shown in this act gave an excellent and a highly artistic finish to the show and after holding the audience seated throughout, finished to a good hand. GENERAL REMARKS - This was a great show for Easter week, and a capacity audience received it with the warmest approval, several big applause hits being registered. CUTS HALLIGAN & SYKES - Use of a well-known hotel and personal names.
