Report on PROVIDENCE SHOW, Week of March 10, 1913. CHAS. LOVENBERG, Manager. We have a very good comedy show that pleased thoroughly. The opening business and the advance for the week indicated prosperity for another six days. THE WILLIS FAMILY I am afraid vaudeville has passed this act; they play fairly well, but we have had so much better in music and showmanship that this seems old-fashioned. 17 Min. F. S. Can close in One. RAY [FENTON?] & YANKKE LADS A very attractive young woman, good personality, good voice, assisted by two young fellows who dance well. The act in its entirety pleased thoroughly. 16 Min. in One. BEN DEELY & CO. This act is not the riot that it has been in other places. Deely is a very good comedian, but he is drawing a salary for his wife, who is very poor and his straight man who is worse. The act is overpaid by at least $100. 18 Min. in Two. Got lots of applause at finish by begging for it with dance with dummy. NINA MORRIS & CO. A very good dramatic sketch containing just enough buncombe to get the "kind applause." Well played, however, and a good feature to have. 24 Min. F. S. EDISON'S TALKING PICTURES The Lecturer retained - "Julius Caesar" added. Evidently still of interest to the audience and drawing money. 14 Min. in One. ADLER & ARLINE Another good novelty that made a big laughing hit. 16 Min. in One. - worth two Ben Deely acts at much less money. JO BOGANNY'S "LUNATIC BAKERS" As we lost considerable of the value of this act in closing with it at the matinee, moved it up to this spot. There is no question that it is a big scream; contains lots of fun and good acrobatics as well. 13 Min. F. S. HENRY & FRANCIS Another rather rough act that made them laugh. 18 Min. in One. ASAKI Originally intended to open the show but put in this spot under pressure. Good skating and juggling act. 9 Min. F. S. MOTION PICTURES O.K.
