B. F. KEITH'S HIPPODROME Week of March 10th, 1913 Cleveland, Ohio BEN BEYER & BROTHER - - 11 minutes in 3, bare stage. A bicycle act with some very clever tricks and acceptable comedy. (Chicago) BROWN & BLYLER - - Just Entertainers. Two men and a piano, working 12 minutes in one. A cabaret act delivering the goods. (Toledo) JOHN C. RICE & SALLY COHEN - - Sketch "The Path of the Primroses". 20 minutes opening in F.F. interior, closing in one. Advance applause for this team, who are assisted by two people in the audience. A comedy vehicle filled with good laughs. Could easily hold a better position on any program. (Detroit) BERT LEVY - - 19 to 21 minutes, interior, special set. Advance applause. He is better than ever. (Toledo) OLIVE BRISCOE - - Singing comedienne. 18 minutes ine one with sever changes of costume. Miss Briscoe don't know the first principals of singing and she seemed frightened at Monday's shows. (Toledo) THE KINETOPHONE - "Faust" The film is perfect, but not the phonographic part of the performance. A part of the conversational end of the record cannot be distinguished, but as the greater part of the theatre goers are conversant with the plot of the play, they make their imagination fill in what they don't understand. EDMUND HAYES & CO - "The Piano Movers". C. D. F. Interior. 18 minutes. Received splendid advance applause. It is just as funny as ever. (Cincinnati) CLIFF GORDON - - The German Orator. 14 minutes in one. Gordon is going backward and although he was applauded upon his appearance he did not get the laughs or the hand one would expect from him. At the night show he practically "flopped" and there was not an act on the program which did not go better. (New York) THE FOUR CLIFTONS - - 11 minutes. Palace in 4. A strength act. Clean and fast running and very acceptable as a closing feature. (Atlanta, Ga) PICTURES - - PATHE WEEKLY Cuts: "Damn" and "hell" from Cliff Gordon's act and "hell" from Edmund Hayes & Company
