6 CRITICISM OF B. F. KEITH'S UNION SQUARE. WEEK OF MARCH 17TH. OLLIE YOUNG AND APRIL Man and woman in a soap bubble juggling specialty, which proved very interesting, holding the attention, securing an occasional smile and opening the show nicely. Twelve minutes, full stage. CLARK AND McCULLOUGH Two men billed as "Tramp Comedians" in "Much Ado About Nothing" I doubt very much if this act could make good in the better houses They surely do portray the character of the "Unclean" tramp. Their material is good in spots, with a laugh pf two, but fall short of expectations. Fourteen minutes in one. MISS NORTON AND PAUL NICHOLSON Giving us the comedy "Ella's Allright", which brought the first real laugh of the day. The material is about the same as when last presented, which is of the sure-fire order and gets over in good manner. Twenty-one minutes, full stage. BILLY ROGERS This man did not go as well here as reported from other houses. His imitations are good and were appreciated, but he failed to make the impression as I was led to believe he would. Ten minutes in one. SEVEN MARVELOUS BRACKS Here's the one best bet of the day, simply saved the show. The greatest acrobatic act we ever played or will play. Nine minutes, full stage. TALKING PICTURES Showing two subjects "Dick, The Highwayman" and "The Politician" Both pictures were good and went much better than at any time since the "Kinetophone's "First presentation. REINE DAVIS Is giving us five pleasing songs, each getting over in good shape. She makes a charming appearance, is gifted with a sweet voice, wears some stunning gowns and one cannot help but admire her. Opens in one for eight minutes, then to two and back to one. FRANK SHERIDAN and COMPANY The Company consists of four players, including Mr. Sheridan, presenting a one-act play called, "Blackmail", by Richard Davis. The theme is very good of the heart interest kind, and one that is occasionally interrupted with applause. Frank Sheridan is a splendid actor and is supported by a clever company. Could go over the circuit as a headliner. Was received with terrific applause? Twenty-eight minutes, full stage. PRIMROSE FOUR Held their own here in good shape, holding the stage for sixteen minutes and could have cont inured longer. DR. CARL HERMAN Very interesting and the biggest laughing act we have had this season. The hit of the show and well worth the money? Thirty-two minutes, full stage.
