REPORT ON THE COLUMBUS SHOW WEEK MARCH 24, 1913--W. W. PROSSER. ROMALO & DELANO: The "College Athletes in Gymnastic Sports and Passtimes". This is an act of decided merit. They have a line of tricks that are new and showy. Went big throughout and finished strong. Special in 4, 10 min. (Toledo) BROWN & BLYLER Two men. Singing and pianist. Good, livly number of its kind which did fairly well, finishing quite strong. Olio in 1. 12 minutes. BERT LEVY. Famous artist-entertainer. This is the first time Mr. Levy has been here for several seasons, but the house remembered him with a reception the moment he appeared. He gave a decidedly worth-while performance which met with keenest appreciation, winning applause, earning strong finish and taking bows Special sheet in 3, in interior, 19 minutes. (Louisville) ANNIE KENT: Very capable artiste who has an entertaining line of songs, dances, talk and comedy. She is at least "different" and away from the usual 'single' woman number. Had no trouble in gaining attention and holding it throughout. Opened straight and finished character-comedy. Special in 1. 19 minutes. (Open) EDISON TALKING PICTURES: This is our opening performance with The Kinetophone, and a perfect show was given. The audience manifested closest attention attention and interest and liberal applause was given both the lecure and the Edison Minstrels. We did capacity and turned away enough people to again entirely fill the theatre, in spite of the pouring rain. There was any amount of comment on the pictures, and so far as I could hear, it was all a boost. Picture sheet in 1, 12 minutes. S. MILLER KENT: In " The Real Q", a dramatic sketch. Three men. Sort of Raffles story, well presented. Held attention moderately well and finished strong. Library in 3, 19 minutes. (Indianapolis) JACK WILSON TRIO: Working white-face in "An Impromptu Review". Went just as well as before, creating any number of laughs, holding strict attention and finishing very strong, taking several bows. Street in 1, 30 minutes. (Cleveland) O'MEER SISTERS: Very fine wire act by two girls with male assistant. Exceedingly graceful, and at all times displaying fine work. Held attention, throughout and finished strong. Palace in 6. 11 minutes. PATHE WEEKLY: O.K.
