34 REPORT ON COLUMBUS SOW WEEK APRIL 7, 1913--W.W. PROSSER CLARK & McCULLOUGH: TWO MEN. TRAMP COMEDIANS IN "MUCH Two men. Tramp comedians in "Much Ado About Nothing". Opens fairly well, but seems to be unable to sustain interest and gradually dwindles down to little or nothing. There are a few good comic hits, but, as a whole, the offering didnot get over. Garden in 2, 14 minutes. (Atlanta) BILLY ROGERS: "Musical Mimic". Pretty fair imitations but an evident lack of personality. Doesnot appear to have much force, but did fairly well, finishing modeately strong. Olio in 1, 10 min. SQUARING ACCOUNTS: Dramatic episode. Character man, and woman playing role of newsboy. Very good offering. Out of the beaten path, and very capably presented. Held attention throughout, and finished strong. Plain chamber in 2, 17 minutes. (Cleveland) TALKING PICTURES: "Her Redeption" and Miser Scene from Chimes of Normandy. Both perfectly given, the first scoring quite well, but the second not appearing to make much of an impression. Picture sheet in 1, 14 minutes. MURIEL AND FRANCIS: "Just Two Girls". These young women proved a genuine success. Their songs and comedy caught on at once and went well throughout. Strong finish. Olio in 1, 17 minutes. (Indianapolis) KATHARINE KIDDER, AND CO. In "The Washerwoman Duchess", with Miss Kidder as Madame Sans Gene. As good, if not better than any offering we have had this season. An emphatic personal success for Miss Kidder, who was supported by three very capable men who compose the Company. Strict attention from the very beginning, interest throughout and a very strong finish with several curtains. Library in 3, 20 minutes. (Detroit) WILSON BROTHERS: Wellknown singing and talking comedians. Big hit throughout and strong finish. Street in 1, 14 minutes. (Detroit) APOLLO TRIO: Three men presenting a very excellent bronze posing number. A genuine novelty and of sufficient merit to win applause throughout and take several curtains. Special Cyke in 3, 8 minutes. (Toledo) PATHE WEEKLY: O.K.
