MAZEPPA---- A beautiful trained Arabian horse who does a number of tricks such as telling the time, going to bed, selecting colors, kissing a girl, and numerous other stunts concluding with saving a mother and child in a burning house. It is the best horse act that has played this house and went very well. Special set, F.S. 18 Min. INTERMISSION---- PIERCE AND ROSLYN---- Man and a woman assisted by property boy. They make three costume changes, sing several numbers and play a piano, banjo and accordeon, one of the latest type known as the piano-acordeon. The act went very big. In one 22 Min. MISS JEAN WEIR AND COMPANY, presenting "His Last Offense". Two men and a woman. Scene, living room in a banker's home. The banker's wife is alone with her baby when she receives a note that her husband is at the club, detained on business and will not be home until late. She complains for a few moments and then leaves the room to see that the house is securely locked before retiring. During her absence a thief enters one of the windows. He is sneaking around the dimly lighted room when he sees the baby in the crib. He decides to steal it for a ransom, but overcome by emotion he places it back and walks to the mantelpiece where he sees a picture of his twin brother. He is overcome by surprise. He is meditating when he hears his brother's wife returning. Grabbing his brother's house gown he determines to act as his brother. He cannot leave the house because it is surrounded by cops. The wife enters and is surprised to see him there. She thinks he is her husband. Considerable comedy is brought out here by the mixed identity. During their conversation one of the cops enters the room. Being satisfied that there is no thief in the room he leaves. The wife follows him out. During her brief absence the thief throws off the gown and tries to leave by the window, but is caught by the wife. She recognizes him as her husband's twin brother. While they are talking they hear a cop coming upstairs announcing his intention of searching the rooms. The thief runs into an adjoining room. The sketch concludes when the husband returns. He is told of his brother's visit. Dressing as the thief the husband tries to sneak out, the cop catches him, but his mistake is shown him and he releases the husband. In the meantime the thief escapes from the adjoining room. The act went very fair. C.D.F. special, time of act 16 Min. BISON CITY FOUR--- This well known quartette is the applause hit of the bill. Special drop in one 18 Min. PELHAM---- Hypnotist. with the aid of a number of young men as subjects he gets a great deal of comedy. He puts them in a trance individually and collectively causing them to do all kinds of humorous stunts. He wears evening clothes, affects a long shock of black hair and has a nice personality. The act went very good. F.S. 20 Min. PHOTOPLANE--- Satisfactory. (Cuts) "His Last Offense", the word, "damn".
