REPORT OF B. F. KEITH'S THEATRE, CINCINNATI, O. Week of May 18th, 1913. J. F. Royal. PATHE'S WEEKLY: 17 min. LIGHTNING WESTON: 13 min. Sketch artist. Good opener for this type of show. His last picture on the sinking of the "Titantic", with "Nearer, My God, To Thee" for music, is good but gruesome. LOUISVILLE. WESLYN & NICKELLS: 15 min. Man and woman - singing and talking, using a special ladder in their flirtation act. Girl has great voice. Some good comedy, but nothing extraordinary. Have good singing numbers, and it is the music that makes them a hit. Position on bill hurt them a little. Will probably develop. LOUISVILLE. TALKING PICTURES: 15 min. "The Hedstrongs". "A Few Shamrocks". Best seen here since they started. Big hit with ten cent audience. LEE & PERRIN: 14 min. Man and woman, singing, talking and dancing. Very good. Full of life and action. Woman does some good dancing; man gets some good laughs. Fine closing. LOUISVILLE. OXFORD QUARTETTE: 9 min. Four boys with good voices, in a well arranged repertoire. Went very big. Applause hit of show. LOUISVILLE. BESSIE REMPLE & CO.: 17 min. Two women and a man in comedy sketch entitled "The Chorus Girl". Went very nicely. Got big laughs and a splendid finish. open. SHRINER & RICHARDS: 13 min. Man and woman in singing and talking. Man has good voice; woman clever comedienne; had them laughing all the way. She makes several changes, and the act proved a very pleasing one. Big closing. OPEN. MARIE & HER LITTLE BEARS: 13 min. Very good closing act. Four bears working in a cage. They do regular stunts, but the big bear doing a bear cat dance a la Salome produced much comedy. LOUISVILLE. B. F. KEITH'S MOTION PICTURE DAILY NEWS SERVICE: New idea being tried here of making motion pictures with our own operator of news events about the city and showing them next day. We showed a reel of the street car men's parade and incidents of the strike. It did big business. CUTS: "God" and "damn" from act of Bessie Remple.
